my photography teacher is starting this year with very basic stuff. past class we're talking about different type of natural light and how it has chromatic and aesthetic values. our assignment was to take nine portraits of a same person with same clothes but in different lights (in the morning, in the noon, in the evening, in straight sunlight and in shadow etc.). i don't like how the straight light pictures taken in the noon turned out because the contrast is very heavy and the shadows distort the face. but i know that's exactly what our teacher wants us to learn. i forced my boyfriend to model for me and i really like how these shadow pictures turned out. i also took many pictures of mimi and her new friend kaiser, who always accompanies us to the santa lucía hill. mimi really enjoins playing in the water, as you can see!
